Mert Diner 1976 yilinda Iskenderun / Türkiye’de dogdu.1999 yilinda Uludag Universtesi makina mühendisligini bitirdi. 2005-2007 yillari arasinda ressam Irfan Önürmen ile calisti. 2007-2009 seneleri arasinda New York 'ta burslu olarak NYSS (New York Studio School of drawing painting and sculpture) da sirasiyla Bill Jensen ve Graham Nickson atölyelerinde egitim gördü. Bu dönemde Princton Univ.’ den ressam ve ogretim görevlisi Eva Ascheim, Ressam Carol Robb ve Graham Nickson’in çizim maratonlarina katildi. 2008 yazinda Çatalhöyük kazi alaninda eski medeniyetlere ait figürler üstünde çalismalar yapti. 2009 yazinda Siena'da Bill Jensen' in asistanligini yapti.

Mert Diner was born in Iskenderun / Turkey in 1976, graduating from University of Uludag Mechanical Engineering Dept in 1999. Diner studied with painter Irfan Önürmen between 2005-2007. Receiving a scholarship in 2007, he moved to New York , studying painting at the New York Studio School of drawing painting and sculpture until 2009.
At the New York Studio School he studied under Bill Jensen and Graham Nickson. NYSS is internationally renowned for it`s "Drawing Marathons", Diner participated in. Marathon Leaders were Eve Ascheim (Painter and Princeton University Senior Visual arts Lecturer), Carol Robb ( Painter and one of the head of the atelier in NYSS) and Graham Nickson (Painter and Dean of NYSS).
He worked in the Neolithic site of Çatalhöyük, archaeological excavation center, focusing on the figurines during the summer 2008. He worked as an assistant of Bill Jensen in Sienna / Italy during the summer 2009. He lives and works in Istanbul.
